information leafblower never sleeps.
At least not while there is basketball on.
Tonight was supposed to be Rasheed "Smoke Weed Every Day" Wallace's and Mike James' debut for the Detroit Pistons on national TV against the Minnesota Timberwolves and the duo did log some minutes for Detroit in the first half. However, at halftime a league spokesman informed the team that all the required paperwork had not been turned in to the league by all the teams involved in the trade and none of the players could suit up for their new teams. To make this matter even stranger, Larry Brown went on record in the pre-game press conference saying all the players had been cleared to play for their new yeams. Hhhmmmmmmmm......

It appears Chucky Atkins physical with the Boston Celtics was taking longer than anticipated. Messageboard posters are posting that Atkins has a "hot spot" in one of his legs and did not pass his physical, therefor this trade will be nullified.

However, take this with a grain of salt because yesterday on the same messageboard someone else posted the topic with the title of "Terrorists just hijacked the NY Knicks Plane!!!! - No Lie, Turn on the TV". In the message of this ominous post, the author then went on to add "Celtics Sux!!!!!! Pistons rule 4ever!!! Go Detroit!!!!!" so take this with a grain of salt. Also, when Raef Lafrentz took his physical after being traded to Boston, the doctors there found a similar "hot spot" but the trade still went through even though Raef went on to have season ending surgery a few weeks later and we have basically sucked big time ever since.

It goes without sayin what a fiasco it would be for the teams and the league as a whole if the trade was nullified, although I wouldn't complain. Most likely the paperwork will be complete tomorrow and Rasheed will officially be a Piston. However, right now he is still an Atlanta Hawk. The funniest thing about this is yesterday everyone in Detroit was ready to give Danny Ainge the key to the city and now he is back to being public enemy #1. Gotta love Danny Boy.

More info as this develops.

Obviously the terrorists were going to crash that plane into the Fleet center.

I'd say the terrorists have won, but then again, Detroit lost.

Glad to see you posting again.
