The Sports Guy during his annual "Trade Value Index" column:

38. Carlos Boozer -- Quality banger. Always plays hard. Owns the best chest hair in the league. Yet another shining example of "Guys Who Produced in College Who Were Inexplicably Screwed by the NBA Draft Process." With that said, when I saw the headline "Boozer named to Olympic Hoops Team," I thought Vin Baker was headed to Athens

Having trouble telling the high school kids apart prior to draft night? Fear not, here is a breakdown.

No, I haven't forgotten TMac for Francis and baggage. But the deal's not done yet so I will refrain from commenting. Except that if this goes through, Orlando is getting sca-rewed royally.

Derek Jeter turned 30 on Saturday.

Regarding To The 5 Boroughs, let me be the first to say if this is true, it's fucked up on so many levels.

It seems that Capitol Records has some sort of new copy protection system, that automatically, silently, installs "helpful" copy protection software on MacOS and Windows as soon as you insert the CD into default systems.

Way to go people. As if the fucking FBI warning on the back of CD's isn't over the top enough. Who comes up with this shit? People, listen to me. If you don't want kids to upload your tracks onto the p2p services, then just make a copy protected CD, put a big fucking label on it saying what it is, and sell it for $4.99. Case closed. $4.99 huh? I think you know that's never going to happen.

Besides, you yourself said you don't know it's true. Don't get in a huff without knowing if that post is legit. My opinion: that's not the most credible source in the world.

I still don't see where the cd is protected- I've played it and ripped it on my Mac. The only installation software I saw was for the "enhanced video" part. I don't use PCs so I don't know if the cd automatically loads shit on them... I do know this- since I've blogged about it, I've gotten 40 or 50 Google searches looking for TT5B ripping info, most from Europe & Australia/NZ...

But, let me agree right now. Record companies messing with cd protection schemes is bullshit for so many reasons.

F copy protection on a cd...was given a promo of the cooper temple cause cd a while back to listen to...put it into my mac so i could rip / listen to on my ipod...it actually managed to crash my mac which was up for 25days without a reboot... seriously, WTF? .... i DONT listen to cds on my stereo anymore, its either in front of the computer as im surfing / doing work or out n about on the ipod... therefore i simply will *not* buy any cd with copy protection until they get their shit together. morons. shame tho cause the one CTC track i heard subsequently was actually pretty nice...

Don't you think you're going too far calling Cuttino Mobley baggage? The man can flat out score and the Rox will miss him dearly. If anyone's getting baggage it's the Rockets with Juwan.
