Do you want to know the dark truth...
or do you want to see me whack some dingers?

Maintain The Rock!

Without further ado, I bring you the cover art to Shake The Sheets

shakethesheets

Allow me to put on my fanboy hat for a moment...If you haven't heard this record yet, you're missing out. The title track is totally rocking my world right now. It has this Van Halen type geetar solo near the end...it's umcredible (and I don't even like geetar solo's!).

ALBUM OF THE YEAR people! Hear me now, believe me later.

Go out and make your mark!
Put on your boots and march!
Go down and meet me where you'll find me doing my own part
Roll out your dented car
Maybe it won't go far
But if you do everything you can, well that's more than a start

ditto re: lyrics

from "The One Who Got Us Out":

What can you say that'll take the weight away?
I look into the endless battle, & all I want is what should be.
And I'm damn ashamed to feel this rotten.
Can we reclaim what's been forgotten?

...

And I'll put it to you plain & bluntly,
I'm worried for my tired country.
That look on your face - don't let it go to waste.

Did I get that right?

I might be with you on Album of the Year buzz. I've been listening to the album non-stop. In fact, I love it so much, I can't wait to actually BUY it. I mean, every song is great, and "Me and Mia," "Counting Down the Hours," "Little Dawn" and "Walking to Do," as well as "Shake the Sheets," especially continue to rock my world.
