Dammit People!
Why didn't any of you guys tell me about this?
Many thanks to Slatch for the heads up. Click through to see the rest of this weeks new releases (although he left out Luna's new one). I think I'll be picking up the Pavement double disc extravaganza and the Futureheads (who come highly recommended by DCSOB). And the best thing is, now that I live in DC, I can actually afford all of these things!
The Futureheads is a really good album. (It was on Rhapsody a while back, mistakenly perhaps, and I got in a few listens before it was removed. Saw them live and they put on a fantastic show that excited even the most jaded of the LES crowd.)
The Pavement is a must-have, simple as that. The second disc has some treasures. Pitchfork gave it a 10. I don't know about that. How about 9.9? They could have done *something* to make it better, but it's as close to a 10 as you can get.
