I'm sorry, I know you're a Red Sox fan, but sheesh, how come every other team who's won the World Series in the last 86 years hasn't been the "Sportsman of the Year"? You wanted us Yankee fans to know the nausea of watching a team we can't stand get fauned over by everyone? Well, the dream has finally come to fruition with this past week's Sports Illustrated. Did the Angels, Diamondbacks or Marlins get this much press in the last three years when they won the World Series? And they all beat the Yanks to win it all as well. Oy, this is why I've got to cut back on the number of blogs/journals I read written by Sox fans.
How many of them staged the greatest comeback in the history of baseball only to go on and destroy the "Curse of the Bambino" and win the first WS in Boston in 86 years? My grandmother and her brother both died this year and they were in their 80's. They never got to see one of these things in their lifetime.
