I Can't Trust The Architecture
A little warmer today. It was only 13 degrees with the windchill this morning. People were acting like the world was coming to and yesterday because it was so cold. I was loving it. Snowboarding season is not far away.
Ummmm...this is like a block away from my office. Yikes.
Bye Bye Orlando. Have fun in sunny San Diego Mr. Roberts. Jay, Ramon, welcome to Beantown. Can't fault Dave for being excited about going home to play. I wanted the Sox to keep him but he wouldn't have played much next year.
I don't believe this crap at all. (second item)
Why doesn't MTV play videos anymore?
PJ Harvey...not going anywhere. [via Productshop]
You know...I actually contemplated calling this space Leaves of Information Aloft, Dancing Like a Plastic Bag in that Movie with the Girl from Ghost World but I figured it wouldn't fit on the marquee.
Finally! I Like You to be the next single for the Mighty Mozzer in the US.
Fucking Hell Right! The Super Furry Songbook wil be released in the US via Beggars Banquet on January 25th, complete with DVD! L Boogie has the import (which she *cough*STILL hasn't screened for me*cough*) and sadly informed me that I was nowhere to be seen in the bonus footage. Rats.
Nice try douchebag. (4th item)
The original screenplay for Fight Club (complete with notes for the future revisions) sold on ebay for $4,050 large.
I decided to return that turntable I bought last week because it's in sad shape (the STOP button doesn't work, when you press it, it speeds up to 45 rpm) so my all vinyl, beat matched set at bluestate is in serious jeopardy. I'm trolling ebay for 1200's as we speak.
And if anyone knows a good, reliable mixer for under $200, holla.
I did buy a new DJ bag yesterday. It's hella sweet.
So the interweb was abuzz yesterday with Sea Ray's big news. Leave it to my esteemed colleague Frank Chromewaves to put this all in perspective:
I was saying to Janelle yesterday that this is the first blogger-adopted band that hasn't busted out big. It appears we don't have superpowers after all.
Sad but true. But we had them moving in the right direction.
Here is an AAC file of Sea Ray performing Nicholas Ray at the Earl in Atlanta earlier this year. I'll have two unreleased tracks available either tomorrow or later tonight. Chromewaves has Sister Gone available for download as well.

Oh, you just holla if you need a North American screening of American Sasquatch before the Jan 25 release. I'll hook you up. You knows it.
Ski/Snowboard season is well under way up here...I spent last weekend at Sugarloaf and the conditions could not have been better.
