The news from the vet was not good. There is a good chance Jarvis has FIP, a terminal disease for which there is no cure. I have to take him to the emergency vet hospital first thing tomorrow morning for a full diagnosis, so for right now my snowbaording trip and my weekend in NYC are on hold.
Please be OK Jarvis.

Kyle, hope things are looking up for you and J (what a handsome Dan he is!). And if anybody gives you some insensitive "it's only a cat" bullcrap, let me know so I can punch them in the teeth.
Kyle, that sucks. Jarvis, be well. But cats can be very resilient in the face of adversity. My cat Smokey literally blew up after chewing on some electrical wiring and lived a long fruitful life after the incident, sans part of his tongue. Keep hoping for the best.
