Still swamped at work...Pardon the brevity that follows.
Hot off the latest call of Paul Pierce must go, PP plays a great game and the C's FINALLY beat the Pacers and I can finally look Bob Cook in the (virtual) eye. Unfortunately, the C's lost wunderkind Al Jefferson to sprained ankle in the first half, but Kedrick "I Have A Posse" Perkins came through big time. Let's hope Doc continues to play Perk in the future. Wonder what this injury does to the Waltah trade? He still wants out and Doc doesn't seem sad to see him go. Join the effing club.
Some juicy rumors floating around about a Marcus Banks and a 2nd round pick for Luke Walton and Brian Cook deal that will go down after the Waltah to Phoenix deal. The Lakers can keep Cook, gimme Sasha Vujacic instead yo.
Commence drooling. Stereolab Box Set. Holla!
Filter and Urban Outfitters have compiled a two disc charity album for Tsunami relief that I ain't mad at.
Filter still thinks the Bravery are still playing the Black Cat on Monday. They're not, but I'm going to see them in Baltimore on Friday instead.
You fuckers better come to DC!
Have I mentioned this week's bluestate giveaway? Enter through midnight tonight.
If, unlike me, you needed another reason to hate u2 OR ticketbastard, here ya go.

I'm very much in support of tsunami relief. But, Urban Outfitters is unthinkably evil. The guy who owns it is semi-permanently attached to dubya + co.'s collective asses.
my opinion of U2 diminishes based on their use of TicketMaster alone. I think I am skipping this tour as well - I don't feel like paying $300 to sit on the roof at MSG and be able to see only 45% of Edge's butt.
u2 pre-sale=WORST. blame u2 for using ticketmaster, not ticketmaster for being ticketmaster. u2 should know better. glad i spent $40 on the membership to get upper level seats. ticketbastard always f's everything up. you'd think that $40/member would be enough to cover admin expense of doing the pre-sale in-house (like $ is even an issue).
coldplay has a free membership club & did their pre-sale in-house, w/ great results. it's sad when tourists like coldplay do something better than u2.
Ah, the wisdom of Damore...
IL,
Did you see this? Care to comment?

i might be going to fletchers tonite as well. I love seeing shows there. In fact, a year ago today, I saw one of the best shows of my life there. The Unicorns and The Stills. First time seeing both, and I was right up front and when Dave came out from behind the drums and sang Yesterday Never Tomorrows, I actually cried.
I was all set to hit a few U2 concerts this time around, because I missed the last tour (due to unemployment and such), but tickets for this show start going on sale while I'm either travelling or away on vacation. hence, Ticketmaster and U2 have found another way to fuck me. I still like their new CD, but I think I'll probably scale back any plans to see multiple shows based on what that article said about ticket prices. there's nothing more annoying that paying $30 to get a Duke ticket, and then have to pay another $20 in Ticketmaster fees.
welcome to the world where *everything* is run through or by a giant corporate conglomerate.
