Delonte West Has A Posse!

That's Delonte West's mother sitting in front of me at last night's Celtics game. The row in front of me was empty (except for these two little hotties that I never got to talk to) until about 5 minutes after the tip when this group of like 10 people came and sat down in front of me. Two of them had on Delonte jerseys from St. Joe's (home and away, natch) and then his mom was rocking the green and white. I yelled for Delonte after he made a good play and she turned around and gave me a pound and told me who she was. She (like the rest of her crew) was super cool and was giving everyone high fives all night. According to her, Delonte loves Boston and is really happy to be heathly and finally getting some PT. He was really down earlier in the year when he got hurt (especially the second time) but it's all good right now. In the fourth quarter, she pulled out some pics of young Delonte from his childhood along with his high school graduation photo. It was so best. And the C's won too! Delonte scored 15 in his fifth career start. When I left, I told her to tell her son to keep shooting that jumper and crashing the boards.

Funny enough, my iPod just cued up Changer from Stereloab's absolutely amazing ABC Radio Sessions album. I love this song's slow groove and how Latetia sings "Changer" in her French accent so it sounds like "Jean-jhee". I melt everytime I hear it.
