I just ordered my Canon Powershot G6! Hopefully it will be here in time for the Marine Corps Marathon on Sunday.

Here is my interview with We Are Scientists. More of it will be available soon on the next DCist podcast.

I'm STILL pissed at Spoon for completely passing over DC/Baltimore on their upcoming tour. Fuckers!

Maximo Park to soon begin combing over their new record. Even though they have yet to play DC behind their first record.

Goldie Lookin' Chain, not totally a joke. Only kinda.

Liz Phair hearts podcasts.

OK, fess up. Anyone bought one of these for their iPod Shuffle?

Latest Sports Guy mailbag.

I don't have much other content today, so I'll do what I usually do when I don't know what to talk about. Talk about sports! I caught the Celtics/Nets game last night, and while the C's lost in OT, overall we looked very good. The Nets started strong but their starters faded in the third, especially after JKidd went down with a boo boo. If you were wondering, yes, Vince Carter is still a punk.

The C's looked very good at times, building up a 20 point lead with the starters in the third quarter before the bench gave it away in the 4th and OT. Rookie PG Orien Greene is going to earn some heavy PT if he keeps up his heady play (making Marcus Banks or Dan Dickau expendable). Considering he's just a rookie, he's doing really well at running the offense. Former Net (and current blogger) Brian Scalabreezy finally showed he had a pulse last night, and actually hit a few jumpers. Al Jefferson looked good in limited minutes before fouling out.

In case you can't tell, I'm looking forward to the start of the season next week.

One final note, the Milwaukee Bucks might have cemented a playoff spot by trading Desmond Mason to New Orleans for Jamaal Magloire. Great deal for the Bucks, although is this a vote of no confidence for #1 pick Andrew Bogut?

The Maximo Park comment isn't entirely true. They opened up for the Killers/Keane show at Merriweather this summer. The lead singer dances like Pee Wee Herman.

Right, like I'm ever going to pay money to see The Killers or Keane.

Unlike Kyle, I've paid money to see The Killers, but since they've passed through actual, real D.C. a few times already, those of us who've already seen them didn't want to pay Merriweather prices (and $25 means you're watching a screen, not a stage) to see them again, just for the opener. Plus, people without cars can't get to Merriweather. Maximo Park need to play the Black Cat ASAP.

W.A.S. will be in Bmore at sonar with hot hot heat on Dec 19. 18$ to see hot hot heat and W.A.S. not a bad deal.

I have to DJ that night, so I guess I'll have to wait until 2006 to see them again.
