I see two bands that haven't even released an album yet. Both are from New York. Gotta love pre-release marketing.

Don't forget Young. CSNY 4 eva'. Duhvs
Nice job with the list, always entertaining. Next year call it the transitory interests of rockists w/out ritlin.

Wolf Parade are Canadian, and great Canadians at that.
On a totally unrelated note Leaf, wondering if you heard Mylo's live set on Lamacq Live on BBC1 this week? I thought it was superb, can't wait for some new stuff from him. It's archived online 'til Monday, have a listen:

Is that Some Girls featuring Wes from American Nightmare or Some Girls with Juliana Hatfield.
And I sincerely hope that Fall Out Boy was a joke vote.

Tapes 'n Tapes is by the far the best band in American right now

Um... where in the hell is Broken Social Scene in all of this. Something seems very wrong with the fact that some of the aforementioned are considered more "buzzworthy" than BSS. Biggie? He's great but this aint 1995...

i find it amazing that green day made the top of this list and new pornographers didn't even make an appearance. i thought this was about bands that are good today.
