White Rose Movement | Love Is A Number (MP3) - Takes the Bravery's sound blueprint and makes it hipster worthy.

The Futureheads | Area (MP3) - Can anyone tell me with a straight face that the Arctic Monkeys are better than the Futureheads?

Nethers | Mir Ill - Still blown away by their show a few weeks ago. I've been listening to their CD non-stop since then. Go and see this band when they come to your town!

Matt Pond PA | Grave's Disease (MP3) - As usual, I'm a bit late on the bandwagon, but this track is so good that I had to stop what I was doing the first time I ever heard it. The song just commanded my attention. That was in December, it's been in heavy rotation ever since. It helps that it's a winter song.

The Caesars | We Got To Leave (MP3) - Yet another CD I was late on but is currently in heavy rotation. Not content to be a one hit wonder, these guys put out a very solid album that's definitely worth your money.

More MP3's here.

Listen to the new Morrissey single "You Have Killed Me." Another crappy record sleeve. WTF?

I'm glad someone else is gushing over Nethers now. It seems like they're just the type of thing folks would go nuts over but for some reason their local shows haven't generally been heavily populated. Hopefully that will change.

I'm assuming the 9:30 Club show was your first experience...? The organ was missing from that show. Hearing Nikki's voice on Migratory Birds backed by the organ is hauntingly beautiful and just simply amazing. The first time I heard it live, it gave me chills.

Concerning that Okkervil track: No Key No Plan was initally my pick from BSB Appendix but as I listened to it as whole more and more Another Radio Song seemed to find its way to the top. As time goes on, I find myself enjoying that song more and more. I think perhaps it's the contrast between the beginning and the end; the slow build up and then the rhythmic fervor.

Gotta agree with you on the Arctic Monkey comment. It just seems that the Futureheads have been over looked.

I listen to both album's and it baffles me. AM dont deliver the way the Futureheads do. Live or in the studio.
