Wizards Weekend

Caught two games over the weekend, Friday v. Atlanta and Sunday v. Golden State. Not exactly two marquee teams as far as the NBA goes, but both games were tight and fun to watch.

Also, I have officially added Atlanta's Josh Smith and Golden State's Monta Ellis to the list of players I would pay to watch play basketball. Both were incredible. Smith had seven blocks on Friday and completely changed the game on the defensive end. The Wizards didn't know what to do about him. Ellis, on the other hand, was smooth as silk and has one of the best jumpers in the entire NBA this side of Ray Allen. He plays beyond his years (he's just 21).

Sorry for all the sports content lately, but hey, it's March.

Scissor Sisters were good but not great last night. Their set was kinda "Here's an Elton John song. Now here's a Bee Gees song," but they're marvelous entertainers and have tremendous energy. The label fucked up my photo pass so I didn't get to take pictures of a band that actually uses a light show. No, I'm not bitter. Not at all.
